Life frays us all.
Your jouney to Build The Self begins here.
Welcome
You've been carrying more than anyone should have to. Anxiety keeps your mind racing and won't let you relax. Depression saps your energy and motivation. And echoes of past hurts still shape current relationships — and how safe you feel in the world. You've tried to push through alone, but the weight remains.
At Build The Self Psychotherapy, we create a space where you can finally set the weight down; where your story is met with validation and compassion, your pain is understood in context, and together, we work to rebuild The Self that life's challenges have frayed.

Who we work with
Adults
Many of us grew up with the idea that psychotherapy was for those who had something “seriously wrong” or were “weak.” Thankfully, that belief has shifted. Today, therapy is recognized as an important part of self-care—helping us restore perspective, work through challenges, and live with more peace.
At Build The Self, we create a space where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and feelings. Through gentle mirroring, we help you see yourself with greater clarity and compassion. Together, we explore the origins of your cognitive and behavioral patterns and help you develop the tools to address your symptoms.
Couples
Relationships can feel challenging. Each of us brings a lifetime of experiences and meanings into our conversations. With such varying histories, it’s easy to be misunderstood or for clarifying questions to go unasked—sometimes for fear of the answers. Over time, this can create distance and resentment. We help couples learn how to better understand each other -- to slow down and get curious about what their partner truly means.
Seniors
As we age, it’s natural for new worries to arise—about how the later years will unfold, who will be with us, and how to face our changing minds and bodies. We may hesitate to share our anxieties, fearing they’ll burden loved ones.
At Build The Self, we offer a space where you can bring these private thoughts into the open and feel truly heard and seen. With compassionate support, we help you sort through what is within your control and what is not—while finding peace with both. Together, we’ll explore tools and perspectives that bring comfort and a renewed sense of meaning at this stage of life.
Adolescents
There is so much social, emotional and school-related pressure for adolescents today. Expectations are high. Performance depends on several variables, both in and out of their control. Friendships can be hard. Sometimes young adults just need someone to listen, understand, and reflect what they’re experiencing. We relate to adolescents, and help them explore their thoughts and feelings, navigate challenges, and discover coping tools to manage stress and build resilience.
Children
Children have big feelings, but not often the words to describe them. Using play therapy, creativity and a safe, unbiased relationship, therapy can be a safe place for kids to examine their feelings and develop a tool bag to regulate and soothe themselves. We also work with parents on increasing their ability to tolerate feelings so that their child feels free to express themselves.
What Clients are Saying
-
I had seen other therapists in the past and never stayed with them more than a year and felt like this was a completely different experience. I would strongly recommend her as a therapist.
-
Our work together not only helped me through difficult moments and gave me tools and perspective that continue to support me today.
-
What I valued most was the balance of support and challenge. I always felt deeply heard and understood, while also being encouraged to look at things from new perspectives and to try different approaches.
-
We each need someone to LISTEN to us, truly listen. Therapy allowed me to “say it out loud” in what I felt was a judgment free setting.
