Welcoming Growth: Never Stop Building

For many years, I’ve been deeply fulfilled in my work as a solo practitioner of psychotherapy. There’s something empowering about running every aspect of your own practice — from clinical care to scheduling to working out insurance company kinks. (I don’t even have a biller!)

Over time, I’ve learned so much about how to build and sustain a thoughtful, responsive, and meaningful practice.

But being a solo provider can also be lonely. You’re the clinician, the administrator, the marketer — all in one. While that independence has served me well, I’ve realized that true growth often means opening the door a little wider.

So, after years of working independently, I’m both proud and a bit in awe to say that the practice I started 11 years ago is growing into a group practice called Build The Self Psychotherapy. This expansion reflects a shift not just in the business, but in me — learning to welcome others in, to share the work, and to create something that can support more people through life’s changes.

I’m thrilled to introduce Juhi Nath, LICSW, who is joining Build The Self as our first clinician. Juhi works primarily via telehealth with adults who are neurodivergent and those navigating anxiety and depression. She’s a friendly, down-to-earth, and welcoming presence — the kind of person who helps clients feel at ease from the start.

At Build The Self, we believe that growth — both personal and professional — is an ongoing process. This new chapter underscores that reality. I’m so excited for what’s ahead, and deeply grateful to everyone who’s been part of this journey so far.
